he went for a ride
and just for a laugh
rode a bicycle built
for one-and-a-half
but to his dismay
could not buy
steal or beg
a lone extra arm
(to say nothing of the leg)
so he calmed
and he thought
till the answer was clearer
then he hopped on his bike
and rode into a mirror
he rode straight in the front
rode straight out the back
and straight thru the middle
with a straight even crack
and without sadness
rejection
or any dejection
he cycled away
with half his reflection
